Microgaming announces its latest launches for the month of May - four new games that cater for roulette, slot and video poker players.

The first is a totally new version of the company’s well established European Roulette Gold game, in which the latest technologies have been used to present an easy to use, smooth playing, traditional casino game. MICROGAMING CONSOLIDATES BRANDS

Rename confirms industry leading status

Microgaming, the world’s largest provider of online gaming software, is to bring its industry leading Jackpot Madness and The Prima Network under the single Microgaming brand, it is announced today.

The resulting change will mean that Microgaming Poker Network and Microgaming Progressive Network will replace the old names and that a new ‘Powered by Microgaming’ seal will appear on all the sites which use the company’s software.

Both the Jackpot Madness and Prima Network brands will be phased out by late summer to give players a period to adjust to the changes. Both of these websites will be integrated into a new microgaming.com website. In the case of The Prima Network the company will no longer run Monte Carlo Millions; however the company is looking at a number of exciting new marketing opportunities.

The move further signals Microgaming’s industry-leading position and will serve to simplify all future communication. By focusing on one single brand, the company believes it can create greater impact in a consolidating market and that ultimately, the Microgaming badge will give players added confidence in an operator’s ability to deliver fair, intuitive, involving play.

The company is also reaffirming its commitment to ever richer game playing experiences - with constantly evolving software using cutting edge technology, together with fraud control and transparency innovations. There is a programme of 60 new game releases in 2006.

MICROGAMING PROGRESSIVE HITS LANDMARK $200M PAYOUT TOTAL

Microgaming’s progressive network made history (yesterday) as its payout total passed the $200m mark.

The total is further confirmation of Microgaming’s industry leading position and comes at a time when the company is gearing up for a new stage of growth, signalled through its recently announced plans to consolidate all its brands under the Microgaming name.

Powered by Microgaming, nearly 6,000 winners have celebrated wins through the progressive network during the three year period since it launched, including Amanda R from Plymouth, who only last month became one of the UK’s highest online gaming Jackpot winners, taking home a cool $1,427,369.74. In October 2005 alone, $4.9m was paid out to 100 winners.

Microgaming’s progressive network is the largest online progressive jackpot offering on the internet. MICROGAMING ANNOUNCES BLOCKBUSTER DEALS WITH LARA CROFT AND HITMAN

Microgaming announces it has re-signed Lara Croft on an exclusive licensing deal with games creator Eidos Interactive, in addition to agreeing a brand new deal securing Hitman for development as video slot games.

The Tomb Raider agreement gives the gaming software provider exclusivity to continue to develop games for online and land based casino platforms, while the Hitman deal allows it to develop a new range of slots games based on the hugely successful computer game.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend
This extension to the current deal is testament to the success of the Tomb Raider Video Slot, launched by Microgaming in October 2004. This new agreement focuses on Tomb Raider: Legend, the seventh and most innovative Tomb Raider title in the series, which has recently reached the No.1 chart position in every major video gaming territory upon its release in April this year.

Hitman
Currently one of Eidos’ best-selling games series’, Hitman features Agent 47, a ruthless assassin working for the ICA, who may also be making his big screen debut as Eidos has recently confirmed it has an option signed to a major Hollywood Studio for the feature film rights to Hitman.
