Auswahl und erschwingliche Preise haben für Messebesucher in London Priorität

Der ATEI- und ICE-Veranstalter ATE bietet Besuchern der beiden Fachmessen, die vom 24. - 26. Januar 2006 im Londoner Veranstaltungszentrum Earls Court stattfinden, eine breite Auswahl an Unterkunftsempfehlungen: Mindestens 23 Hotels und Apartments stehen zur Verfügung.

Die umfassende Liste bietet bis zu 59 Prozent Rabatt auf alle geltenden Übernachtungssätze sowie eine größere Auswahl an 3-Sterne-Hotels; die Preise beginnen bei £69 pro Nacht (102 €). Neben diesen Sonderpreisen, die speziell für die Dauer der Messen vereinbart wurden, bieten einige Hotels auch Vergünstigungen bei frühzeitiger Buchung sowie Sonderangebote für Besucher, die einen längeren Aufenthalt planen und ein Urlaubswochenende anhängen möchten.

London hat jetzt noch mehr zu bieten

Die 62. jährliche Fachmesse Amusement Trades Exhibition International (ATEI) findet vom 24. - 26. Januar im Londoner Ausstellungszentrum Earls Court statt. Zeitgleich laufen im selben Gebäude auch die weltweit führende Messe für den Automaten und Soft-Gaming-Bereich, die International Casino Exhibition (ICE) – die die Messe für interaktive Spiele ICEi umfasst – sowie die erste Visitor Experience Show (VES), die eine aufregende Palette an neuen Produkten und Dienstleistungen für Betreiber von Freizeitparks, Besucherattraktionen und Standort-/thematisch gebundenen Freizeiteinrichtungen statt.

Über die Geschichte, Erfolgsbilanz und das spektakuläre Angebot der Londoner Messen ist in den internationalen Branchenmedien umfassend berichtet worden. Doch Branchenbeobachter fragen sich vielleicht, wie es weitergeht. Was erwartet die Besucher im kommenden Jahr?

Überblick

Mehr als 500 Aussteller sind auf einer Reinfläche von 25.000 m2, die sich über drei Ausstellungshallen erstreckt, vertreten. Neben ihrer traditionellen Heimat im Erdgeschoss von Earls Court 1 ist die ATEI um eine Ebene mit weiteren Ständen und Einrichtungen in Halle 2 vergrößert worden; der Zugang erfolgt über Rolltreppen, die links im Zentrum des Hauptausstellungsbereichs angesiedelt sind. Im 2. Stockwerk von Earls Court 1 findet auch die VES statt, mit eigenem Anmeldebereich und Rolltreppen, die mit dem Haupteingang Warwick Road verbunden sind. Dank der zusätzlichen Fläche im Obergeschoss kann der Veranstalter ATE neue Einrichtungen für alle Messebesucher bereitstellen, darunter zusätzliche Restaurants und Bars, spezielle Display-Einrichtungen, Sitzbereiche und eine Business-Lounge mit EDV-Diensten und Internetzugang. Die ICE und die ICEi bleiben in Earls Court 2 und bieten einen separaten Anmeldebereich sowie einen Durchgang zur ATEI. Besucher jeder einzelnen Fachmesse haben freien Zugang zu allen anderen Veranstaltungen.

Der internationale Charakter der Londoner Messen wird nicht nur an der Zusammensetzung der Besucher deutlich – regelmäßig kommen Gäste aus mehr als 100 Nationen – sondern auch an der Herkunft der Aussteller: Mehr als die Hälfte (51,8 Prozent) sind außerhalb Großbritanniens angesiedelt; in diesem Jahr sind Aussteller aus mindestens 37 Ländern vertreten.

Doppel-Aussteller

17 Unternehmen werden ihre Produkte verschiedenen Marktsektoren vorstellen – mit zwei Ständen auf verschiedenen Messen. Der größte dieser Doppel-Aussteller ist das österreichische Unternehmen Amatic Industries, dessen Stände auf der ATEI und der ICE eine Gesamtfläche von mehr als 300 m2 haben – die siebtgrößte Präsenz auf den Londoner Messen. Auch Mars Electronics International (MEI), Eurocoin, Suzo-Happ und Money Controls sind mit umfangreichen Ständen sowohl auf der ATEI als auch der ICE vertreten. Playtech, der israelische Softwarespezialist für Onlinespiele, feierte auf der ICE 2005 phänomenale Erfolge und wird im Januar einen weiteren Stand auf der ATEI eröffnen; der Erfolg von Gamesoft und Innovative Technology auf der letzten ATEI veranlasste die in Großbritannien angesiedelten Unternehmen, sich dieses Mal auch auf der ICE zu präsentieren. Drei Unternehmen – Zest Gaming aus Italien, EssNet Interactive aus Schweden und Entertainment Industry aus der Ukraine – feiern auf beiden Messen ihr Debüt. Prestige Seating Technology ist erneut auf der ATEI und der ICE vertreten, ebenso wie die B2B-Publikationen Amusement Industry Catalogue, G3 und Your Guide. Zwei Unternehmen, Fun2Learn Children’s Rides und InsureLink, stellen sowohl auf der ATEI (Halle 1) und oben auf der VES aus.

Spielautomaten in Hülle und Fülle

Selbst für Spielautomaten-Puristen, die auf die 185 Aussteller der ICE und die 46 Unternehmen der VES vielleicht nur einen schnellen Blick werfen möchten, ist die ATEI ein absolutes Muss. Bereits zwei Monate vor Eröffnung der Messe hatten 277 Unternehmen ihre Teilnahme bestätigt. Damit wird dies die größte Veranstaltung in der 62-jährigen Geschichte der Messe; die Ausstellungsfläche umfasst mehr als 12.500 m2, auf der sich Automatenhersteller und -vertriebe aus mindestens 30 Ländern vorstellen.

Der globale Appeal ist ungebrochen, fast die Hälfte (47 Prozent) der ATEI-Aussteller kommt von außerhalb Großbritanniens. Italien ist derzeit mit 19 Ausstellern die größte Gastnation, gefolgt von Spanien mit 18. Zehn Unternehmen kommen aus den USA, neun aus Österreich und jeweils sieben aus Korea, Polen und Taiwan. Sechs ATEI-Aussteller stammen aus der Ukraine. Belgien, Deutschland und die Niederlande sind mit jeweils fünf Unternehmen vertreten. Aus Kroatien und der Tschechischen Republik kommen jeweils vier Aussteller, jeweils drei aus Frankreich, Japan und Schweden sowie zwei aus Australien und Portugal. Weitere Aussteller stammen aus Argentinien, China, Dänemark, Irland, Israel, Kanada, Malta, Russland, San Marino, der Slowakei und Slowenien.

Großes Aufgebot

Der britische Automatenvertrieb Crown Direct bietet dieses Mal auf der ATEI das größte Aufgebot – der Stand des Unternehmens nimmt eine Fläche von 544,5 m2 ein. An zweiter Stelle steht Astra Games (439,1 m2). Der drittgrößte Stand (298,1 m2) ist die Heimat von Revolution Entertainment Systems, Inspired Broadcast Network und Leisure Link, an vierter Stelle steht RLMS Sales mit 242 m2 und an fünfter Sega Amusements Europe mit 232 m2. Games Media – das Global Games, Voodoo Games, Channel 1 Games und Seven Digital Gaming umfasst – und Bell-Fruit Games, das auch Mazooma Games, QPS Interactive und GamesNet repräsentiert, vervollständigen die Liste der Aussteller mit Ständen von mehr als 200 m2. Der österreichische Gigant Funworld, das britische Unternehmen Electrocoin und das deutsche Konglomerat Stella International/GeWeTe/Mexim nehmen unter den zehn größten Ausstellern die restlichen Plätze ein. Gleich darauf folgen JVH Gaming Products, TAB Austria, die Barcrest Group, Harry Levy, Namco-Bandai und Thomas Estates, die allesamt auf einer Fläche von mehr als 150 m2 vertreten sind.

Neue Produkte und Ideen von Messeneulingen

Rund zehn Prozent der Ausstellungsfläche werden von Unternehmen eingenommen, die erstmals auf der ATEI vertreten sind. Bis Ende November hatten sich 42 Debütanten angemeldet. Zu den Neulingen zählen acht britische Organisationen, jeweils vier aus Korea, Österreich, der Ukraine und den USA, drei aus Taiwan und jeweils zwei aus Australien, Italien, Kroatien, Polen und Schweden. Weitere Erstaussteller kommen aus Israel, Japan, Portugal, Slowenien und der Tschechischen Republik.
