More support planned for expanding business

Top online gambling turnkey provider Microgaming has announced that it will soon move into new and larger business premises on the Isle of Man as a result of strategic restructuring to better support an expanding business.

Part of the restructuring plan will involve the transfer of the company’s sales and marketing functions to the extensively equipped new building in order to improve client support internationally and internal liaison.

MICROGAMING HOSTS SPECTACULAR OFFICE OPENING


Microgaming, the world leader in online casino and poker software, celebrated the opening of its corporate Head Office on the Isle of Man last Friday night - in truly magnificent style.

Greeted by an image of the legendary Lara Croft™ projecting onto the front entrance of MGS House, distinguished guests from around the world and the local business community were invited to enjoy a champagne reception against an incredible backdrop of casino game imagery that adorned the Company's new office.

The launch of the new building coincided with Microgaming's new look literature and website, which clearly reflects the Company's energy and status within its industry. Mr. Raatgever, CEO of Microgaming said, "We are market leaders and our new head office and literature clearly endorses this position". Speaking on the reasons behind the Company's move to the Isle of Man, Mr. Raatgever said, "The Island was a natural choice for us since we already had legal counsel here and had developed a number of great professional relationships. On a personal level and speaking as a family man, my wife and I both agree that the Isle of Man is the ideal place to bring up our children and thoroughly enjoy a wonderful quality of life."

Realising the important role that local businesses can play within local communities, Microgaming kicked off the year by donating a further £100,000 to the Microgaming Hospital Trust. Formed in 2002 the trust has donated £100,000 a year towards training and equipment for the local health services and medical facilities. Continuing, Mr. Raatgever said, "We are in a fortunate position that we can invest a significant amount of money back into the Island and assist those who are reliant on voluntary donations. It is great to see the enormous difference that we can make - particularly to the smaller charities."

After the initial reception, guests were coached to a function room at the Mount Murray Hotel and Country Club for an Indian themed party and as guests proceeded to lounge on large scattered cushions, medleys of traditional Indian dishes were served. After supper, a tarot card reader foretold the fortunes of those who were willing as those guests, who felt a little more adventurous, accepted a design from a professional henna tattoist. For most though, the highlight of the evening was the dancers, dressed in authentic Indian costume, adding that little extra spice.
